Berlin Blue Drafting Services provides drafting services exclusively and does not offer design services. Clients are responsible for all design calculations, which should be performed by a qualified civil engineer or building designer. Berlin Blue Drafting Services specializes in structural drafting for small residential projects, fencing, retaining walls, and sheds. The studio assumes no liability for the structural integrity of the designs created.

Berlin Blue Drafting Services charges an hourly rate plus GST. A 3-hour engagement fee applies to all jobs, regardless of duration or project continuation.

An invoice will be issued for any additional hours worked beyond the initial three hours upon the project's completion. This payment is required within seven days of project completion, irrespective of whether the client requires the drawings or not.

The Client will be billed for all hours dedicated to the project, irrespective of whether the Client concludes the project early or no longer requires the drawings. A $30 administration fee will be applied to any unpaid invoices, along with an additional 3% penalty rate per month for any outstanding balances.

Any variation will incur an additional charge of 15% to the initial consultation fee. Berlin Blue Drafting Services will be granted an extension of time to complete the work if the client extends the project or changes the scope of work.

The commencement date and work duration will be communicated clearly to Berlin Blue Drafting Services. If meetings occur in person, Berlin Blue Drafting Services will summarize the project and scan documents to email to the Client, who can make corrections if needed. All emails and correspondence will be stored for 7 years and regarded as instructions from the Client to Berlin Blue Drafting Services.

The Client shall promptly provide Berlin Blue Drafting Services with all necessary documentation, supporting diagrams, clear directions/instructions, and electronic files required to complete the task at the commencement of the job. Additionally, the Client shall timely inform Berlin Blue Drafting Services of any changes in scope, character, quality, or sequence of timing of the services once the Client becomes aware of such changes. The Client shall not impede or interfere with Berlin Blue Drafting Services’s efforts to fulfil the requested task. Full cooperation with Berlin Blue Drafting Services is expected.

Clients must review all drawings and request changes if necessary. Berlin Blue Drafting Services aims to produce high-quality drawings but allows 4 rounds of drafting amendments based on client feedback. Scope changes from the initial brief will be considered variations and charged accordingly.

Drafting changes can occur during the Preliminary Design or consultation phase. Once plans are approved and move forward, any changes to initial drawings will be considered a variation and incur an additional charge.

If the Client violates the terms, Berlin Blue Drafting Services may terminate or suspend access to plans and services without notice or liability.
